Some very exciting news – I have a new job! In a couple of weeks I start work with UpMyStreet.com.
UpMyStreet.com lets you search and compare information localized to specific postcodes, towns or other geographic regions. They can help you choose new places to live, save time and money in and around your home, and find local shops and services. Most importantly they are independent and impartial, which means they don’t artificially weight search results or give priority for payola.

What in God’s name have they done to the Walker’s packet? No doubt the agency were given a brief to “take Walkers into the 21st snackin’ century”, and with the wave of a Soho creative’s polo-necked arm, and a Mac operators liberal sprinkling of gold foil metallic effect block caps, that’s exactly what they’ve done.

In fact the single defining factor in the design of the new intranet turns out to be speed of deployment – how quickly can we get something live that looks nice, is easy to update, and doesn’t offend the brand sensibilities of either merging company?
