Gmail finally got a delete button! While the concept is anathema to Google's search-based email model, and accordingly important to their keyword-based advertising model, they've obviously listened to their end-users and implemented a more intuitive and efficient delete process.
Unfortunately they forgot to tell anyone about it or highlight in any way this change in workflow. I sat staring at the screen for a full minute this morning before summising that the site was broken while they actually implemented this new delete funcionality. I even browsed away and back again later in the morning, and still couldn't see the "Move to Deleted Items" option in the popup menu.
Finally I noticed the new delete button just to the left of the popup. Completely unheralded. you would have thought they'd at least leave the option in the popup menu anyway, dontcha think?

Gmail continues to infuriate me. Among other things that get my veins popping is the fact that you have to scroll down to the very bottom of a message to hit the reply link. Why not just stick it up the top like every other email app ever?!
