They turfed Trafalgar Square!
Ostensibly this was to promote London’s “villagey enclaves” such as Marylebone and Wimbledon. I don’t know if it achieved much towards that aim – I had a good walk around and didn’t see any promotional material while I was there – but the tourists certaily seemed to be enjoying having somewhere to sit and eat their lunch.
