This
competition to come up with ways of using public data from the UK government's horrendously titled
Power of Information Taskforce seems like a good idea. They've made "gigabytes" of new data available to the public. But a brief glimpse at the list of ideas shows a lack of imagination. Concepts tendered range from the
pointless to the
banal to the truly
mind blowing.
Is this inevitable? Is information inherently boring? Come on, people, you can do better...
